Patrick Okoegwale Innovative Awardee: Dr. Marie Harris

Dr. Marie Harris is a distinguished leader in higher education, known for her commitment to student success, equity, and community engagement. As the first Afro-Latina Vice President of Learning and Student Success at Madera Community College, she has led key diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism initiatives and was instrumental in the college’s 2020 accreditation. Dr. Harris has also championed women's advancement by launching leadership cohorts, athletic programs, and faculty affinity groups, while mentoring and empowering countless women. Her prior work at Reedley College further demonstrated her dedication to academic excellence and student access, particularly in STEM and CTE programs. Recognized with numerous leadership and equity awards, Dr. Harris continues to shape inclusive, transformative educational spaces.

Woody Miller Community & Broadcast Awardee: Ken McCoy

Ken McCoy will be honored for his outstanding work as an internationally recognized photojournalist and entertainment consultant. His impactful storytelling, showcased on platforms like CNN, BET, and at the Academy Awards, highlights positive community narratives. His show, "Ken McCoy Entertainment Report," focuses on uplifting stories and advocating for youth representation in the entertainment industry. Both honorees embody the spirit of community empowerment.

Emcee: JOHNNY Q

DJ J.Q.Z is a Fresno-based tastemaker who weaves buttery jazz chords, neo-soul grooves, and laid-back hip-hop into seamless sets that light up art shows, cafés, and rooftop lounges alike. A resident spinner for creative pop-ups such as Gallery in the Sky and The Pie Mamas events, he turns every room into a soulful sanctuary built on mellow vibes and masterful transitions.  

DJ: Nightvibe (Donald Whittle)

Event soundtrack architect DJ Nightvibe spins everything from throwback soul to modern EDM, layering turntablism with live percussion flair. Off-stage, he’s also a painter and photographer who lives by the motto “EARTH without ART is EH,” proving his artistry reaches far beyond the booth.

SOULHER is the cosmic‑minded R&B/neo‑soul alter‑ego of singer‑songwriter Denea Hebert, radiating velvet vocals and astral imagery from California’s indie‑soul scene. After independently unleashing a 2024 run of singles—“Choosy,” “DNA,” “Motion Sickness,” and the shimmering fan‑favorite “ONE”—her galaxy‑grooved sound has earned spots on Apple Music’s new‑soul pages and Shazam’s discovery feeds. Now building momentum as @solargoddess777, SOULHER is translating those “healing‑frequency” vibes to intimate live shows while quietly plotting her debut EP for 2025

Pac-Man (Gerald Pac-Man Dixon II)

 A faith-driven vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Pac-Man balances soulful hooks with high-energy showmanship. The husband, father and fitness enthusiast has even served as a cultural ambassador in Belgium—proof his uplifting message travels well beyond California.

J$oto 

Central Valley native J$oto delivers raw West-Coast storytelling over hard-hitting beats. Known for his “Freestyle Friday” series and razor-sharp punchlines, he raps to chase both the bag and the fun, bringing hometown grit to every stage.

Stevie Fuego 

From NYC to Atlanta to Fresno, Stevie Fuego wears many hats—artist, songwriter, engineer, producer, actor and model. His versatile background lets him slip between melodic hooks and cinematic rap verses, igniting live sets with big-city polish and Valley heart.

MakeMoves Sayless

Founder of Sayless Studios, El Paso-bred MakeMoves Sayless raps with a hustler’s mindset: “Be about it, talk less.” His music pairs motivational lyrics with southern-tinged boom-bap, embodying his lifestyle brand’s mantra of action over chatter.

Rexxx 

Visionary rapper-producer Rexxx (pronounced “rex”) pledges allegiance to creativity first. Whether dropping the West Tape series or crafting new beats, he channels an uncompromising DIY spirit and invites audiences into his ever-evolving sonic universe.

Stacey Prado

Stacey Prado is an R&B/Soul singer‑songwriter celebrated for her silky vocals and emotionally candid storytelling. After first turning heads with singles like “Turn Me On” and “Girl Like Me,” she released her 14‑track debut album Reticence on August 4, 2024, delivering a fresh blend of neo‑soul grooves and contemporary R&B. Her 2025 follow‑ups “No More” and “Loved” are pushing her audience even wider across streaming platforms, while she gears up for more live shows under the guidance of manager K‑Fisher and Reel Music Group.
